Claire is currently Head of Teaching and Learning at the Bell Educational Trust. She is an associate of McIlwraith Education. She has 15 years’ experience in English language teaching, starting as a teacher in the UK and Poland. She then worked in Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Bosnia & Herzegovina (BiH) as a teacher trainer and training manager on military English projects, designing and implementing courses in modern teaching methodology, developing syllabuses and establishing self-access centres.

Claire completed her Doctor of Education in TESOL at the University of Exeter. Her doctoral thesis was titled: ‘It works in practice, but does it work in theory? A study of the evolution and resultant design of a blended learning model in an ELT setting’.
